Magic Valley Electric Cooperative Receives Three National Awards

Magic Valley Electric Cooperative (MVEC) honored with three silver awards in the 2018 Spotlight on Excellence national awards program, sponsored by the Council of Rural Electric Communicators and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

Magic Valley received silver awards for Best Total Communications Program, Best Event and Best Annual Report to Members. The three awards highlighted MVEC’s strategic objectives during it’s 80th anniversary celebration in 2017.

“It is such an honor for Magic Valley to be recognized on a national level. We are proud and pleased to accept these awards,” said Luis J. Reyes, Magic Valley Electric Cooperative’s Communications Manager. These awards show the dedication and commitment Magic Valley puts forth to enhance its communication and marketing efforts towards their membership .

This is the second consecutive year that Magic Valley has been recognized by NRECA. Last year MVEC received a gold award for Best Digital Storytelling.

“Being recognized by your industry peers for the work that you do for your members is a great accolade,” said Abraham Quiroga, MVEC’s Business & Employee Development Division Manager.

The Spotlight on Excellence Awards recognizes the outstanding work produced by electric co-op communications and marketing professionals across the Co-op Nation. Winners of the 2018 Spotlight on Excellence Awards represent leading practices across all communication platforms and position them as the best in the field through their superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate a high level of professionalism and deliver exceptional results.
