Abraham Quiroga, a highly respected leader among Texas electric cooperatives, was recently honored with the TEC Member Services Conference Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his exceptional career and devoted commitment to the cooperative mission. The prestigious award was presented by Atanacio “Tachi” Hinojosa, General Manager of Central Texas Electric Cooperative, who previously worked for MVEC before accepting his current GM position.
The presentation took place during the annual TEC Member Services & Communications Conference, where Quiroga proudly represented MVEC among cooperative professionals from across the state of Texas. Recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award are nominated for the award by colleagues from within the cooperative industry and Quiroga was nominated to receive the award this year by John Spiess, Member Services Manager at San Bernard Electric Cooperative.
This award recognizes Quiroga’s exemplary embodiment of cooperative values, including a commitment to excellent customer service, concern for safety, and community engagement. His leadership has strengthened MVEC’s culture, deepened its connection with members through effective communication initiatives, and inspired his staff to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and leadership.
MVEC is deeply grateful to have one of its own recognized for such a distinguished honor. Quiroga’s achievements reflect not only his personal commitment to excellence but also the cooperative’s ongoing mission to empower communities through reliable service and meaningful engagement. His legacy will continue to inspire current and future cooperative leaders.
