Mercedes, TX – Magic Valley Electric Cooperative (MVEC) board directors Joshua L. Klosterman and Dr. David S. Morales, have successfully completed the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) program.
The CCD program is the first part of NRECA’s three-part Director Education Program and consists of five courses focused on basic governance knowledge and the essential skills required for cooperative directors. Both Mr. Klostermann and Dr. Morales will continue their Director Education Program by pursuing the Board Leadership Certificate.
Today’s electric utility environment imposes new demands on electric cooperative directors, particularly increased knowledge of the electric utility business, governance skills and a working knowledge of the cooperative principles. Magic Valley Electric Cooperative has a commitment to work with NRECA to continue the Director Education Program for all board members for the benefit of MVEC’s consumer-owners.
